09 Mar ECHO Launches Individual Supported Employment
We are excited to announce that ECHO has recently expanded our employment services to accommodate a growing number of individuals from Northern Virginia waiting to participate in our programs. We have launched a new program, Individualized Supported Employment (ISE), to provide assistance to participants by helping them secure employment through coaching, individualized support and training. ISE is a powerful and flexible way to create employment opportunities, to ensure regular employment benefits, provide appropriate and ongoing support and achieve full participation and integration into the workforce and the community at-large.
Each individual in the program is assigned a job coach to assist with the employment process from start to finish. This involves assessing the individual’s strengths and weaknesses and job interests. The process further assists the individual with skill building, resume writing, job applications and job interviews. Once in the workplace the job coach assists with learning the various job responsibilities. The job coach will begin fading as the individual become more familiar with the position and the job coach will later provide services as-needed in order to ensure the success of the individual and the business partnership.
