Why Transportation is Important

Did you know…that unemployment among people with disabilities who are seeking work is as high as 80 percent in some areas of the country? Without ECHO’s 37 buses and vans the people we serve couldn’t get to ECHO or their jobs. They might experience a loss of independence and social activities, or feel they can no longer participate in things most people take for granted. ECHO’s transportation services provide a vital lifeline for people with disabilities to employment, training and community life.
