Let’s Do This! Give Choose is March 16, 2021

What is it? Give Choose is a 24-hour day of giving organized by the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties to benefit local charities serving our community.
How is ECHO affected? Since ECHO re-opened its doors, after being forced to close out of COVID 19 concerns, the return of participants has been slow: some firms employing ECHO participants have not re-opened, several group homes (in which some participants live) have continued to be closed, and there is an ongoing concern by some about safety. As a result, revenue is down, since a large part of funding is derived from government reimbursements based on headcount for services rendered. Additionally, the cost of insurance, vehicle and building maintenance continues regardless of the pandemic.
Why is it ESPECIALLY important in 2021? In the wake of the current health crisis gripping our nation, it has become critical to help non-profits keep their financial reserves robust so they can continue to provide the services for those most in need in our community.
What can YOU do? Let’s get inspired to make Loudoun County one of the most generous communities in Virginia. This is where we’ve built our lives, our homes, and our families by blood and by friendship. Let’s join together to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. You CAN also schedule early giving during the two weeks leading up to Give Choose, beginning March 2, 2021. It won’t appear on the leader board until March 16th at midnight.
